Consilium

Consilium (Council) is our family morning time.

In elementary school:

We open with the Calendar Meeting, in which we discuss upcoming events and fill out the "Calendar of Firsts."
Next, we begin with Penmanship or Copywork (alternating)
as they get older we add dictation on Fridays.
Then we have a recitation period--

(T) Parable
(W) Hymn
(Th) Folk Song
(F) French Song
(S) Catechism
Followed by languages--
(M-Th) French
(F) German
(S) Latin Review
Then we do a quick Math facts drill all together.
Finally, we do our read aloud in history and our  main subject period--
(M) Science lesson and journaling
(T) Nature journaling
(W) geography and map drills
(Th) Book of Centuries
(F) Picture Talk/ Composer Study
(S) Nature Journaling

Then we break for individual lessons.
